With eight years of professional experience in the film and creative industries in the Philippines, Quincy have worn many hats from costume designer, production designer, cinematographer, editor, writer, producer and director. In 2022, Quincy moved to Australia and now focuses primarily on directing and cinematography, and uses the many hats she have worn to execute each project with a keen eye for details.
The projects she worked on have screened and won awards locally and internationally, notably the Australian TV Series Jack Irish, the first Filipino Netflix Original - Dead Kids, the Toyota Gazoo Racing Series, the globally renowned Filipino designer Michael Cinco for Red Cross, the narrative film Sanctissima which garnered her Best Production Designer in various film festivals, and her award-winning film Quira.
Prior to these, she studied fashion design and dressmaking at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines before attending the International Academy of Film and Television, where she graduated as the outstanding student with a Best Film and Best Director award. She also served as the Philippine representative at the Kyoto Filmmakers Lab 2016 hosted by Kyoto HISTORICA International Film Festival Committee and Kyoto Prefectural Government in Japan, and was one of two Filipino guarantees chosen from thousands of applicants.
Furthermore, she also managed a video production business from pitching ideas to securing well-known brands with large project budgets, hiring creatives, leading multiple teams and projects, liaising with clients, and tailoring services to suit each client’s unique requirements from pre-production to post-production for short films, commercials, music videos, corporate videos, and events. These experiences honed her abilities to quickly and consistently adapt to an ever-changing creative and film industries.
